Appraisals

Zachary's Jewelers introduces Robyn L. Singh, NAJA, graduate gemologist and certified independent appraiser, to Zacharys Jewelers acclaimed staff.  Available to appraise your jewelry by appointment, your items may be appraised while you wait (up to 2 items), or should you have more than 2 items to be appraised, you may leave your items for a full appraisal upon your return.  All items purchased at Zachary's Jewelers are appraised free of charge.

A jewelry appraisal is a written statement of the authenticity, quality, design and value of a piece of jewelry. A detailed, accurate appraisal is needed to protect your interest and serves as proof of ownership should any of your jewelry be found or recovered.

Jewelry is appraised to comply with requirements of the insurance company to validate the rider added to a policy to cover an amount above the scheduled minimum. Note: most renters and homeowners policies offer minimum coverage of all unscheduled personal property including jewelry.

The appraisal will describe:

1. the setting, purity or karat, gram weight, method of manufacture, condition, style, stamps and engravings
2. the major stone, shape, size, carat weight, clarity, variety, and origin (natural or man made)
3. minor stones, including shape, size, weight, color, clarity and condition
4. total gem weight will be listed and a digital photograph attached

The appraisal will provide enough information to replace the item with one of like size, quality and value in the event of loss or damage, retail comparisons, estate sale or resale.

Repairs

Zachary's Jewelers has professional staff available daily to evaluate any jewelry items that may need repair. We have jewelers available in house to work with you to meet your specific needs. We offer immediate price and time estimates. For your convenience, we offer various repairs with same-day service on Wednesday and Fridays. In addition to our fine jewelry repair work, we also have qualified watch repair specialists.

Custom Design

Zachary's Jewelers offers friendly and professional design services to help you create unique pieces and redesign old jewelry. We can also assist with remounting of stones. Consultations with our jewelers are available by appointment on Wednesdays and Fridays. We also offer personalization and alterations of any of our designs to accommodate your personal style.

Cleaning and Polishing

Zachary's Jewelers offers a complimentary cleaning and polishing service for your jewelry. This service includes an assessment of the security of any stones set in the piece.

Wish List

At Zachary's Jewelers of Annapolis, our sales associates are at your service to help you find the perfect gift. Our wish list program has been created so we can assist you in finding the perfect gifts for your loved ones. Of course, you may also choose to use this service to let that special someone know what you're hoping for!
